Apulia Slow Travel is a tour company offering tailor-made tours for solo travelers, and small and medium-sized groups. We introduce visitors to Southern Italy – particularly the “heel” of the Italian boot, Puglia—in a friendly environment and in harmony with nature.
Our concept
We pursue “slow tourism,” which allows our guests to experience directly the reality of the place they are visiting, fully in touch with local culture and connecting with local people. Travelling with us doesn’t mean being a tourist—you are our guest, and through our tours, you will experience local life, and eat and sleep the local way. Together, we will see fantastic landscapes, taste delicious authentic local food, enjoy a vast cultural and artistic heritage and meet very welcoming people.
Our services
We arrange various tours according to your personal preferences and provide a wide range of ways to discover the country: culture & history, food & wine, sport & nature or a mix of everything!
Ostuni, our Headquarters
We are located in the historical center of Ostuni. Strategically situated between the cities of Bari, Matera, Taranto, Lecce and close to Alberobello, Monopoli and Polignano, the famous white city is the perfect place to manage your holidays in Puglia.
The team

Michele Piva
Hi! I am Michele, I started my professional career as an attorney. I practiced many different law professions, even abroad, in Vienna for over 8 years. During these years I took care of my passion for travelling and discovering new countries.
And then, I found out I loved another way of travelling: visiting new and exciting places with locals and getting familiar to these places. I discovered this in beautiful Puglia and I got in love with this region. Here I started cooperating with international tour operators, I became a professional tourist guide.
I think my personal goal now is to combine a professional career with the love for this region and to share it with my guests. Making friends with them. With my friends at Apulia Slow Travel, I made this dream a reality.

Cristina Moliterno
Hi! My name is Cristina and I am a tour guide of Puglia. I was born in the central part of Puglia, I grew up here, I studied here (foreign languages at the Bari University), and I have spent here all my life. Sometimes I feel like a monumental olive tree, the symbol of my Region, and therefore my roots are too strong and deep to move/go away. I am very talkative, sociable, open minded and flexible, so usually everybody feels in good company with me. I really love Puglia and sharing and discovering the beauty of my home with my guests, telling people from all over the world the history, the culture, the gastronomy, the legends of the charming heel of the Italian boot… and also making experiences such as cooking class, mozzarella making, boat trip, scooter trip, in order to discover the beauty of Apulia in many different ways.

Manuel Meneghel
Ciao! I’m Manuel and after completing classical studies I attended the Architecture University in Venice. I’m also a musician (I play violin and piano) and passionate about historical research.
For a long time I have worked in the cultural field, both in public and private institutions, cooperating in event organization with important Italian companies such as Teatro La Fenice.
In Apulia Slow Travel I’m a tour guide. The love for this land took me to study in-depth the reasons for its beauty that’s for me like a code to be deciphered: architecture, food, landscape, music, local traditions… I like to make them more than experiences of a travel, but fragments of a tale.
What our guests think of us…
Our guests’ satisfaction is our greatest reward and we couldn’t be more proud of their reviews. That’s why we want your trip to be unforgettable!
