Over two full days we visited Matera, Alberobello, Lecce and Otranto. This gave us a lovely overview of different local histories and architectures as we took in the region's beautiful scenery. In each city we had pre-booked entry to the major churches as well, which meant we had a seamless tour from start to finish.

Michele is a friendly and interesting guide who obviously knows his subject very well. He was also really helpful in answering any questions I had, both before and during the trip. I wouldn't hesitate to book more tours with the company if I go back to Puglia in future.

We had some timing difficulty due to a strike by airway workers and were at risk of losing our hotel night in Monopoli, but he reassured us that the train would work instead, suggested some train departures, and it all worked perfectly.

So glad we didn't miss out, it was worth every penny!

His plans for each day were very well structured giving us time to explore things well. He took good care of his guests and went above and beyond to help us make the most of our time in Apulia. He was very punctual and prompt to reply to messages. He was a great source of local information about everything from public transport to restaurants and even itineraries for places we had not booked to go with him.

Once we got to Matera, Michele gave us the most incredible and informative tour. Taking us to the little places that told the history without just being the tourist locations as well as walking us through the city providing so much information. Michele gave us lunch recommendations before taking us onwards to Alberobello. Again once we arrived he took us to all the best pets including walking us through some of the old streets which were much quieter than the tourist streets. All before dropping us back to Ostuni and our accommodation. Thank you Michele for one of the best day tours we have ever been on. We highly recommend Apuglia Slow Travel. ️️️️️

  It's the first time I went to Puglia with a couple of friends and we decided to book a mozzarella production tour and tasting since we are all cheese lovers.... read more Everything went super smooth and the tourguide of the day Michele gave us great insights into the process. We could see how the cheese was made at a traditional farm (masseria). In the end we could also taste many different types of cheese! Everything was super fresh and tasty, the sides were yummy and you also get a bottle of house wine! Great experience to kickstart the day and enjoy brunch with friends - would definitely do it again
