Conversano

Elegance, history and cherries.

Conversano was the center of one of the most important counties of Puglia, ruled from the 15th to the 19th century by the Acquaviva family.

Even today, the splendor of its past is visible in the elegant atmosphere of its streets and in the magnificence of its two castles.
We will visit the sophisticated cathedral, a masterpiece of the Apulian Romanesque style and the Church of Saints Cosma and Damiano, which contains one of the most impressive baroque ceilings of Puglia.

Not least, if you like cherries, you would love to visit Conversano during the Cherry Festival, the delicacy of this fertile countryside.
